Grand Rapids, MI – Sept. 4, 2012 – Elsevier CPM
Resource Center (CPM), a leader in developing clinical decision support (CDS) tools for healthcare, congratulates Michelle Troseth, RN, MSN, DPNAP, Executive Vice President and Chief Professional Practice Officer of CPM, for being recognized in the annual Women Worth Watching® issue of Profiles in Diversity Journal.
The publication selected Michelle Troseth for her groundbreaking work in the advancement of innovative and comprehensive healthcare education. Established in 1999, the Profiles in Diversity Journal reaches senior leaders in all areas of management across the globe.
“This annual women’s issue marks our biggest diversity event in our 14-year history. We seek to spotlight women executives and the companies who create opportunities for and actively support women in leadership,” said Jim Rector, Publisher of the Profiles in Diversity Journal. “Additionally, ‘Embracing Education’ is this year’s theme, chosen for its unparalleled importance to women and girls’ success in our nation and throughout the world.”
Michelle Troseth has dedicated more than 25 years to co-designing and implementing evidence-based practice and technology infrastructures to support patient-centered care and interdisciplinary integration at the point of care across hundreds of healthcare settings. She currently serves as co-chair of the TIGER (Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform) Initiative Foundation Board of Directors, and previously acted as the TIGER Summit Program Chair and co-led a national TIGER collaborative on Usability and Clinical Application Design.
In 2007, Troseth was inducted into the National Academy of Practice in Nursing for her contributions to advancing nursing practice with evidence and informatics.
“Healthcare trends are transforming nurses’ roles, responsibilities and career trajectories. From meaningful use to accountable care initiatives, the key to being a part of this change is informatics,” said Troseth. “I look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of healthcare education and to help to advance the integration of health informatics to further transform practice, education and consumer engagement.”
Troseth was recognized in the September/October issue of Profiles in Diversity Journal.
Michelle was also profiled on Elsevier Connect “A Woman Worth Watching in Health and Medicine“.
