Elsevier CPM Resource Center’s Michelle Troseth Featured In Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 11th Annual Women Worth Watching Issue

Publication Highlights Women Leaders in the Education Industry

Resource Center (CPM), a leader in developing clinical decision support (CDS) tools for healthcare, congratulates Michelle Troseth, RN, MSN, DPNAP, Executive Vice President and Chief Professional Practice Officer of CPM, for being recognized in the annual Women Worth Watching® issue of Profiles in Diversity Journal.

The publication selected Michelle Troseth for her groundbreaking work in the advancement of innovative and comprehensive healthcare education. Established in 1999, the Profiles in Diversity Journal reaches senior leaders in all areas of management across the globe.

Michelle Troseth has dedicated more than 25 years to co-designing and implementing evidence-based practice and technology infrastructures to support patient-centered care and interdisciplinary integration at the point of care across hundreds of healthcare settings. She currently serves as co-chair of the TIGER (Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform) Initiative Foundation Board of Directors, and previously acted as the TIGER Summit Program Chair and co-led a national TIGER collaborative on Usability and Clinical Application Design.

In 2007, Troseth was inducted into the National Academy of Practice in Nursing for her contributions to advancing nursing practice with evidence and informatics.

Elsevier’s Susan Sportsman and Michelle Troseth Named to American Academy of Nursing 2012 Class of Fellows

Philadelphia, PA June 11, 2012 – The American Academy of Nursing, an independent affiliate of the American Nursing Association, has selected Susan Sportsman and Michelle Troseth of Elsevier to join the ranks of the distinguished American Academy of Nursing 2012 Class of Fellows. Founded in 1973, The American Academy of Nursing recognizes nurse leaders in management, practice, research, policy, and education. Dr. Sportsman is also currently the Co-Chair of the Texas Team Advancing Health Through Nursing Education Committee and a member of the Texas Board of Nursing Advisory Committee on Education.  Her rare mixture of educational, clinical and business expertise has made her a well-known and highly sought-after consultant.

Elsevier Appoints New President of Elsevier CPM Resource Center

Hajo Oltmanns to lead expansion of CPM’s clinical decision support tools

Grand Rapids, MI – May 2, 2012 – Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, has appointed Hajo Oltmanns as the new President of Elsevier CPM Resource Center (CPM), a leader in developing clinical decision support (CDS) tools for healthcare.

Hajo will lead the continued development and expansion of CPM’s clinical decision support tools and the engagement of the CPM International Consortium, an organization composed of hundreds of CPM’s client hospitals and health systems.  Hajo is also responsible for the development of Elsevier’s new Order Sets, which is expected to launch in late 2012.

Hajo’s appointment comes as CPM and our other CDS groups work together to transform healthcare,” said Jay Katzen, Managing Director, Elsevier Clinical Decision Support and Payer Solutions.  “Hajo’s experience and understanding of healthcare will help grow this business, empowering our customers to achieve measureable, sustainable success through the implementation of evidence-based CDS and professional practice expertise.”

At Elsevier Health Sciences, Hajo previously served as the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Business Development, focusing on the CDS group.  Hajo joined Elsevier in 2007 and served as a member of the executive strategy team, working across all international businesses units while based in Amsterdam.

Prior to Elsevier, Hajo was a manager at the Boston Consulting Group in Chicago, where he focused on strategy, development and customer understanding across several industries, including healthcare.

Originally from Germany, Hajo has an MA from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
