Helen Henry Award

The Helen Henry Excellence of Care Award was established by CPM Founder and Chairman Emeritus, Bonnie Wesorick, RN, MSN, DPNAP, FAAN, in honor of her mother, Helen Henry, to recognize nurse healers working at the bed side.

Eligibility

  • All registered nurses with a baccalaureate degree or higher working at the bedside are eligible to receive this award.
  • Current members of the honor society’s board of directors and members of the headquarters staff are not eligible

Criteria

Nominees should demonstrate:

  • Compassionate hands-on-care
  • Evidence-based care at the bedside
  • Mutuality with patients and families
  • Individualized plans of care
  • Courage and critical thinking
  • Exemplary partnerships with peers and people in their clinical care setting
  • Inspiration to peers, patients and families
  • Demonstrated desire to continuously learn and grow
