Partnership Workshop
Relationships are the heart beat of a healthy, healing culture. This workshop will address the work necessary
to support the transitions from the old hierarchical relationships that have dominated the workplace to
new partnering relationships. The nature of the work is multifaceted. The changes in thinking, skills
and infrastructures that support the transition will be explored. The information is based on lessons
learned over the last 15 years of doing the work in the field with over 50 clinical settings across the
continent. The participants will:
- Compare the norms within hierarchical versus partnering cultures.
- Articulate fiscal, social, professional and quality factors related to relationship transition.
- State the principles of partnership.
- Delineated the skills and infrastructures necessary
to support the transition.
- Review the outcomes of partnerships for recipients, providers and health care organizations.
