Poetry In The Work Place: Tapping Creativity, Wisdom and Soul

Many are realizing that our current work places are not tapping the full capacity of its individuals and groups. There is a call to welcome the talents and creativity of each person, BodyMindSpirit. This would bring innovative ideas and values to the work of a setting as well as connect people in meaningful ways.

Poetry has long been a way for us to express our soul and uncover such wisdom. The CPM Resource Center offers books and workshops on utilizing poetry in the work place. The workshops are experiential in nature and will inspire those in attendance to explore common issues faced in the work setting through listening to, composing, and sharing poetry.

  • Identify the components of the creative cycle that poetry evokes.
  • Articulate ways that poetry can be used for tapping individual and collective wisdom in the work force.
  • Experience writing and sharing an original poem.
  • Verbalize the learning gained through engaging in an experience of writing and listening to poetry.
  • Discuss practical ways to utilize poetry in the work place for enriching work culture.
Workshops are led by experienced facilitators who are writing and using poetry/verse as a way to stimulate meaningful conversations and uncover insights around the critical issues we are facing today. We will customize this experience to the unique circumstances of your work setting.
